Terms of Service
Last updated: May 21, 2026
1. Agreement to these Terms
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are a binding agreement between you and GooseApp LLC, a Maryland limited liability company ("GooseApp," "we," "us," or "our"), which operates the Goose mobile applications and the website at gooseapp.ai (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, or by accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Who can use Goose (18+ only)
Goose is an adult product. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Service, and by using Goose you represent that you are 18 or older and able to form a binding contract. The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly allow minors to use it.
3. What Goose is — and what it is not
Goose is an informational and educational relationship "co-pilot." It offers observations, suggestions, and reminders to help you be more present and intentional in your relationship.
Goose is not a substitute for professional help. It does not provide medical, mental health, psychological, psychiatric, legal, or financial advice, and it is not a therapist, counselor, doctor, or crisis service. Nothing Goose says is professional advice, and no outcome is promised.
If you or someone else may be in danger or in crisis, do not rely on Goose. Contact emergency services (in the U.S., call or text 911), the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988), or another qualified professional. If you are experiencing domestic violence, the National Domestic Violence Hotline is 1-800-799-7233.
4. Your account
You sign in with an email address or a supported third-party sign-in (such as Apple or Google). You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity that happens under it. Let us know promptly at hello@gooseapp.ai if you believe your account has been compromised.
5. Subscriptions, free trial, billing, and cancellation
Goose is a paid subscription with an optional free trial. Billing is handled on the web by our payment processor, Stripe, through gooseapp.ai. We do not bill through Apple In-App Purchase or Google Play Billing.
- Free trial. If a free trial is offered, a valid payment method is required to start it. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your paid subscription begins automatically and your payment method is charged.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price for the plan and term you chose (for example monthly or annual) until you cancel.
- Cancellation. You can cancel anytime from Settings in the app or through the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not retroactively refund the current term.
- One-time add-ons. We may offer one-time purchases (such as additional usage). These are charged once and are non-recurring.
- Price changes. We may change prices. We will give reasonable advance notice, and changes apply to the next renewal after the notice.
- Refunds. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. We may, at our discretion, offer a refund or credit.
6. Your content and the permission you give us
"Your Content" means what you share with Goose — the things you type, and conversations or screenshots you choose to share for Goose to read. You keep ownership of Your Content. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you (for example, to generate Goose's responses and the notes it keeps for you).
Read-and-discard. Raw content you share for analysis is processed and then deleted on a short schedule (within 24 hours). We keep only short, de-identified notes, not the raw messages. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Other people. When you share content that involves another person, you represent that you are allowed to share it. Do not share content from your partner or anyone else where doing so would violate their rights or the law. Goose is a tool for showing up better in your relationship — not for monitoring, manipulating, or harming anyone.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for anything illegal, abusive, harassing, or to stalk, surveil, threaten, deceive, or harm any person;
- upload another person's private information unlawfully, or content you do not have the right to share;
- attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours, or interfere with or disrupt the Service;
- reverse engineer, scrape, or copy the Service except as allowed by law;
- resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without our permission; or
- misrepresent your age or identity.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, what we deliberately don't, and what happens to it. By using the Service you agree to it. For the short version, see Privacy in plain English.
9. Our intellectual property
The Service — including the Goose software, the goose mascot and brand, and our original content — is owned by GooseApp LLC and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose while these Terms are in effect. We reserve all rights not expressly granted.
10. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties (for example, the Apple App Store and Google Play, Stripe for payments, and — if you connect them — your calendar provider). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them. Where you obtain the app through an app store, that store's terms also apply.
11. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ITS OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE OR SUITED TO YOUR SITUATION. GOOSE USES AUTOMATED SYSTEMS THAT CAN BE WRONG; YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN DECISIONS. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GOOSEAPP LLC AND ITS OWNERS, CONTRACTORS, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, GOODWILL, OR PROFITS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) US $100. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THESE LIMITS, SO THEY MAY NOT FULLY APPLY TO YOU.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GooseApp LLC from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of another person.
14. Termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings; deletion removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service or other people. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as content licenses you granted, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution) will survive.
15. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
Informal resolution first. Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at hello@gooseapp.ai and try to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
Arbitration and class-action waiver. If we can't resolve it informally, you and GooseApp agree that disputes will be resolved by binding individual arbitration rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court. You and GooseApp waive any right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing hello@gooseapp.ai within 30 days of first accepting these Terms.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and take reasonable steps to notify you. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
17. Other terms
If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets; you may not assign them without our consent. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
